The Buzz is a short horror game with some problem solving elements.

Navigate your way out of the cave, avoiding the 'Buzz'.  Find the secret areas to unlock a bonus game!

The Buzz was inspired by the sound of (to us) unknow insects in the forests of Sylhet, Bangladesh. We heard the sound but could not see what was making it. The buzz sound in the game is an actual recording of these insects.

Submitted to the Panic Horror Jam under the theme 'False Safety'.

Compatibility:

Made in Godot 4 and requires Vulkan. This means Intel/AMD chips made in the past 5 or 6 years should be ok. We tested with Intel i5 7th Gen (2017) with integrated graphics (No GPU) and it ran fine. Sorry if it doesn't work for you.

We built a mac version but haven't been able to test it. If you try it, let us know if it works in the comments. Thank you!

You can unlock a mini-game by finding the secret areas and not getting caught too many times. Want to play the mini-game without doing that? Type 'letmecheat' on the main menu.

Thank you so much for the playthrough. That was super speedy! Most people take a lot longer to figure out some of the puzzles. If you want to try the bonus level without going back and finding the secret area you can see 'spoiler' section in the description above.

Nice this was very good game well done keep it up!

Thank you!

This is amazing. The visuals alone look like a AA game's. Can't wait to see the gameplay. Speaking of which...I may be doing a Live Stream soon. I would definitely like to play this game live, and offer feedback (though there is little you would need I am sure).

Thanks for submitting. I am getting excited seeing all of these wonderful submissions. Can't wait to play 'em all!!!

Wow... thank you so much. Our artist, Foyez, is really talented. I'll make sure he sees your comment. The game is far from perfect so feedback is definitely needed.
